Welcome to the Carlsbad High School Athletics Department!

I'm Greg Haston, and it's my privilege to lead our incredible student-athletes, coaches, and staff as we strive for excellence both on and off the field. At Carlsbad High School, we believe sports are more than just games — they're opportunities to build character, foster teamwork, and create lasting memories. Whether you're a student, parent, or fan, we invite you to explore our programs, check out our schedules, and come cheer on the Cavemen & Cavegirls! Together, let's make this experience one to remember.

Go Cavemen & Cavegirls!

Our goal is to empower student-athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field through high-quality coaching, safe facilities, and opportunities for personal growth.

Vision
The Carlsbad High School Athletic Department aspires to be a model program recognized for developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel academically, athletically, and as leaders in their community. Forms & Resources

Student Accident & Injury Insurance

  • Our schools provide accident and catastrophic injury insurance for all students who take part in school-sponsored activities, including sports. This coverage helps make sure your child can get the care they need if they’re hurt during a school activity.

    What’s Covered

    This insurance covers:

    • All school-sponsored, school-supervised activities

    • All school sports, including practices, games, and travel to events

    • Injuries that happen during other school events

    How It Works

    • If your child has their own health insurance: This plan helps pay costs your main insurance doesn’t cover, like co-pays and deductibles.

    • If your child doesn’t have health insurance: This plan will be the main accident coverage.

    • You can visit any licensed doctor or health care provider.

    • We can reimburse you if you’ve already paid for a covered service, or pay the doctor or hospital directly if they bill us.

    How to File a Claim

    1. School fills out Part A

      • A school staff member who saw the accident will fill out and sign Part A of the claim form.

      • The form will be given to you.

    2. You fill out Part B

      • Follow the instructions on the form.

      • Include the documents and signatures needed.

      • Send the form to Myers-Stevens & Toohey (MST) using the contact information on the form.

    3. Keep a copy of the form for your records.
